SAICE bestows Fellow title on concrete stalwart Perrie

Industry organisation Cement & Concrete South Africa (CCSA) CEO Bryan Perrie has been named a Fellow of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE).

Perrie is also a Fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering and an honorary member of the International Society for Concrete Pavements, the latter of which is headquartered in the US.

Perrie has been the CEO of CCSA for 15 years, and previously served on the boards of the Concrete Society of Southern Africa and the South African Road Federation.

He has authored several books on concrete floors and roads, as well as penned many papers for publication and presentation at local and international seminars.

SAICE awards Fellowships on the back of significant contributions to the engineering profession, as well as a display of substantial responsibility and initiative in the practice of civil engineering.
