Two new electrical products are now available to meet the needs of basic non-critical applications for customers that require cost-effective and simple options.

Schneider Electric recently launched the GoPact Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) and the GoPact Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) in its basic offering range.

“While specifically designed for the basic entrance layer of the market, the GoPact MCCB and the GoPact MTS products deliver the same performance and quality that customers have come to expect from Schneider Electric, with just about enough features to meet the customer’s application requirements,” says Schneider Electric power products offer manager Kamogelo Makwana.

Makwana notes that the basic circuit breakers are suited to a variety of simple and non-critical applications, such as in low to medium-density commercial buildings, cluster housing complexes, retail stores and mini-sub applications. The products will be distributed mostly through Schneider Electric’s distribution channels across Southern Africa.

The GoPact MCCB and GoPact MTS offer a robust design with optimised manufacturing processes. Additional features include:

  • Simplified, uncomplicated range of circuit breakers with current ratings up to 800 A, breaking capacities of up to 70 kA and options of fixed, adjustable and electronic trip units to suit most simple application needs.
  • Sustainable packaging:  GoPact products are packed in 100% recycled cartons, with QR codes for paperless documentation access.

Makwana says the company aims to make inroads into the entry-level market with its new products.
