Nigeria’s Oando welcomes new board member

Pan-African multinational energy corporation Oando has appointed Dr Tanimu Yakubu Muhammad to its board, effective immediately, following the resignation of nonexecutive director Nana Appiah-Korang.

Appiah-Korang tendered her resignation owing to increasing demands of other professional interests, Oando said on Friday.

Muhammad held a first degree in economics and an MBA in finance from Bayero University, in Kano. He also obtained a certificate in marketing research from the University of Ibadan, in Oyo State.

Muhammad’s working career spanned several notable organisations at which he held positions such as the head of African Merchant Bank’s credit and marketing department and head of Afriproject Consortium’s investment and economic desk.
