Icasa, CEO part ways

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) on Thursday issued a statement confirming the “mutual separation” of the authority and its CEO Pakamile Pongwana.

This followed the announcement in July that Pongwana had been placed on precautionary suspension pending an undisclosed internal disciplinary process.

Icasa COO Willington Ngwepe will continue serving as acting CEO until a permanent replacement is appointed.
