AECOM appoints new Strategy and Growth Director for Africa

AECOM appointed Fadzai Nyamasve as the Strategy and Growth Director for Africa from 1 January 2017. Nyamasve previously served as AECOM’s Strategic Projects Director for Buildings+ Places, and as the Client Account Manager for Transnet.

Nyamasve is professionally trained as an electrical engineer. She graduated cum laude from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia, with degrees in Engineering and Business Management. She joined AECOM in 2015 as part of the project management team responsible for delivering the Port of Ngqura manganese export expansion project for Transnet.
Nyamasve’s career and responsibilities have since grown from that of an electrical engineer to a project director, as well as a strategy and transaction advisor for multi-million dollar capital infrastructure projects across a range of industries, including mining and metallurgy, rail, ports, and water.

She previously worked for various global multi-national companies such as Bechtel, McConnell Dowell (owned by Aveng) and Hatch in Australia.  Given her wealth of experience, it was only fitting to have joined the world’s leading  engineering  design firm, where she will now be actively involved as part of the management team for Africa to help win and deliver mega projects for the region.

“We are confident that Nyamasve has the determination and expertise to carry out her new role successfully, and lead Africa’s growth and business development initiatives, as well as position AECOM as the leading fully-integrated global infrastructure firm on the continent,” AECOM CEO Carlos Pone comments.
