More fuel price relief for motorists
All grades of petrol will cost 69c a litre less from next Wednesday, the Department of Energy announced on Friday.
This comes after last month's 51c decrease, adding more relief to motorists.
That means 95 unleaded petrol will cost R12.57 in Gauteng and R12.14 at the coast, while 93 unleaded petrol will cost R12.32 in Gauteng and R12.06 at the coast. 93 LRP will cost R12.32 in Gauteng, while 95 LRP will cost R12.14 at the coast.

Diesel 0.05% sulphur and diesel 0.005% sulphur will decrease by 54c and 51c respectively, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will decrease by 115c/kg, illuminating paraffin (wholesale) by 55c/l, and illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) by 74c/l, the department said in a statement on Friday.
The AA said on Friday that underlying fundamentals pose a threat to motorists. The weak rand is extracting a heavy toll on consumers, said the AA: "(The) rand's weakness against the US dollar has been expensive for motorists."
On Friday at 14:15, the rand was down 0.67% at R13.23/$, extending its recovery after tumbling to an all-time low of R14.00 at the start of the week, while Brent crude for October gained 23c to $47.79.
International petroleum prices have recently reached six-year lows, and the AA is concerned over the trajectory the oil price could take when it reaches the bottom of the cycle.
"If and when the oil price flattens out, or increases, motorists will be fully exposed to any rand weakness," said the AA.
