Malawi-focused Mkango Resources has filed a National Instrument 43-101-compliant technical report for the Songwe Hill rare earths project resource update announced on February 4.

With the filing of the technical report, Mkango has fulfilled the condition for Talaxis to advance the next £7-million tranche of investment, in accordance with the definitive agreements signed by the parties in 2018.

The investment will increase Talaxis’ stake in Lancaster Exploration, the company which holds the licence for Songwe, to 49%.
