The Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GDDA) and its subsidiary Innovation Hub have appointed Advocate Pieter Holl CEO of Innovation Hub.

He succeeds Dr McClean Sibanda, who served as acting CEO from June to November.

Prior to joining Innovation Hub, Holl was the deputy director-general for business regulation and governance for the GDDA.

Holl has held other senior management positions for more than 15 years, with duties that included legal advisory services, technical and operations functions – such as budgeting, and set procedures for effective implementation of corporate governance systems.

He has served in various oversight committees, including on the Gauteng Liquor Board, Gauteng Enterprise Propeller and Gauteng Gambling Board.
